Due to GDPR we are making changes in our product. We have previously added functions for consent and demanding change of personal data. The next step in this work is to improve the security in the outbound emails from the portal.
Links to portal content will require login from October 26th
Up until now emails from the portal have logged the user directly into the content in the portal. This will now change so that the user has to log in to get to the content. The reason for this is that a lost email with links to content that don't require log in is a security risk.
The difference is that a user that clicks a link leading to portal content (for instance a page, a course or a report) will first be prompted to log in. After logging in the user will be redirected to the specific page the link is pointing to.
If you have users that don't have their login details you may want to make sure that the "require new password" function is showing on your log in page. If it's hidden our support can help you change the settings
Logging in manually can be avoided with a single sign on solution where your users are authenticated by for example your AD. If you are interested in this solution, contact support or your account manager.
Report e-mails will no longer have an attached PDF from October 26th
In regards to GDPR the attached copy of the report in the scheduled report e-mails will be removed. Instead the receiver will have to click the link in the e-mail to open the report in the portal. Thus the user will have to log in to see the actual report.
